A whole lot of Jimbo

The call came in from Nick, not the one about how many epic waves I missed from the first bomb swell of the year, but to come up to Warung Insalt for beers and some high-octane charged tunes – provided by the island’s most infamous hellman – ‘Jimbo’.

Here’s the brief on Jimbo: a long time Bukit character whose personality is only matched by his generous physiology; a juggernaut of a man with commanding talent on the guitar and a beast in the water. His story was forged by growing up between Hawaii and California, which gained him some very impressive tube riding skills. To witness this guy in action almost defies belief; and even though he’s not been in the line up lately – his rep as a madman is undeniable.
Last night at Warung Insalt, Jimbo belted out an adrenaline infused set that kept the small crew in attendance well entertained. As buckets of hard-earned sweat poured from his folding brow, Jimbo laid out a preview of what he claims is the fabric for the new Album entitled – ‘Get Fucked’.
So without any further adieu, here’s a sample from the man’s soon to be released opus.
