Eight days a week…
January 15, 2013

There she sits, beautiful, alone, untouched. Every morning she patiently waits for me, asking.. when will you make me yours, when will you give me life, the life I was promised… so long ago. Six months prior the doctor told me it would be three months; and as I limp down the stairs, I gaze into her polished eyes – those eyes full of emotional truth. Everyday the ritual begins, the one without that certain purpose, the one without that particular reason, a reason one hopes hasn’t departed… before it must.

very nice, she needs love and a little wax.
…and an ankle that works
Looks great . What sizes is she ? L,W,T. ? Made here in Bali ? U r miss out the back .
She’s a 7’2 hybrid shooter Jim… Mitchell shaped it at Bastie’s Bukit factory – 6 ounce all over. I also miss myself out the back (thanks for saying) – but what’s a cripple gonna do? except grin and Bear it, until time allows him back in..
I hope she gets to be ridden soon Bear…all females need that occassionally
Settle Jo… we’re gonna lose our G rating here @ BB with that…
Oh Bear…I’m just getting going…the darkness is unleashed…remember
Outer Islands are a classic…maybe it’s that Balinese eye, but I reckon it’s the label most associated with Indonesian surfing.
Mitchell’s boards definitely like hollow, down the line waves… that’s why we love them and why they love Indo…
PS: That’s either an incentive to strictly obey doctor’s orders, or to jump the gun and start too early…
Discipline is a hard quality to acquire… but we try
I had an Outer Island when Mitchell was shaping out of Copa years ago. Hope the off season has been treating you well.
Thanks Louie… still recovering from a major ankle injury – Mitchell’s board won’t be seeing saltwater for a while yet..
