New Swell

May 10, 2013

Every year people bitch about the increasing crowds, but as soon as a real swell hits the island and the tide drops… the problems all fade away. With only a day remaining before that first of the season hits the west coast… one hopes it will be a year to remember.

We specifically avoided Indo for our surf trip because of the crowds :-/ it’s not like I can go out in huge swell anyway lol. Enjoy the season

True that. I was just in Indo and scored soild waves and I was like “crowd, what crowd”? The people melted away, somewhere. Of course, I was beaten up but it was a blast. My new Al Byrne 6 channel was glorious, by the way. I just wish I could keep up with it.

Good to hear Clif… those channel boards definitely love clean Indo waves – and if you can manage the bigger days… crowds are never an issue.
